Here is my entry for an exhibition / competition that my local yacht club is holding [link]
Unfortunately I only found out about this last week and with nothing to show I only had time submit one entry. The theme was the sea (der) so I thought this old sailor would be befitting. I would like to have kept working on this but unfortunately ive run out of time as its been put in to get framed so I can submit it this Saturday. The scan seemed to make it look a little dirty and leave little specks on it so its pretty much left as is And its busy at work here today so I couldnt really be bothered to crop and tidy around the edges on this one I might fix it one day but I wont hold my breath lol It also scanned light so I adjusted the mid tones and high lights to bring it back close to the original. Im not sure if you can tell (which is a shame) but I thought id try something different with this one as its probably going up against some stiff competition but on the original ive picked out his hair, side burns & some eyebrow hairs with white acrylic paint using a 000 fine sable I was really happy with the effect its produced XD Anyway theres a lot of prize money up for offer so I have fingers and my toes crossed Its also up for sale too but I would rather keep this one for myself so its bound to sell aha! Completed in appox 16hrs 2H through to 9B pencils 2B & HB .05mm mechanical pencils 000 sable and white acrylic paint & Blending sticks Thanks for looking .: The Unknown Sailor :. © ijahn Daily DeviationGiven 2008-01-31.: The Unknown Sailor :. by *ijahn is not only a very well rendered piece, but also very heartfelt. You can almost see the history in the deep lines of the sailor's weathered face. What is he looking at? Where will he go next? (Featured by ^oilsoaked) |

He practically omitted the Sith," Tris said dryly.
And the falling elevator, Orion added knowingly. Falling elevators are never a good thing to have in your known history. Makes people think youre risky.
